Filigrana Hand-Blown Murano Glass Tumblers (Set of 6)

Introduction

F&M Ballarins Filigrana collection takes its name from the technique used one thats been circulating around workshops in Murano for approximately 500 years. These tumblers see different coloured glass rods placed on a baking stone and heated until they all stick together (usually at around 700 degrees). Then, with a metal tube, theyre pulled and rolled until they form a cylinder. Several firings follow, ensuring the end result is able to be manipulated into place by hand with pliers and scissors.
